Reminder...Cork City 10 miler on Sat 9th Sept 2017

Weather Update : There is a north-westerly air flow over the country so it's likely to feel a bit cooler than of late with temperatures in the low teens. It will probably be dry so it's looking pretty good.

As for the wind, there is likely to be a strong breeze but it's unlikely to be a major factor. On the exposed stretch near the waterfront walkway in Mahon (miles 6 to 7.5), the wind will be into the runners back.

On the homeward stretch, it will be a headwind but there will be a lot of protection inside the railway cutting from miles 8 to 9.5.

Overall...thumbs up for the weather. Suggest you wear just a singlet or short sleeve dry fit top. It'll be cool but not cold.

Just a reminder. The John Buckley Sports Cork City 10 Miler is coming on Saturday the 9th of September at 6pm. You can enter on the day of the race in Shandon Boat Club up until 5:45pm.
