It's a pure disgrace the three best Marathon runners are not on the plane. Lets not mention the Kenyans now running for Turkey. Level playing field ? I think not.

Was Bryan Keane (leevale) also picked for Triathlon? I thought he was.

Is the first comment related to mens or women's marathon team? Agree with the Kenyans

Whats meant by the marathon comment? The 2 best and strongest mens and womens were picked. Also slight gaffe leaving Bryan Keane out of Cork athletes picked for Rio.

There was no gaffe. This is the list selected for athletics. Triathlon is a different sport as is cycling and swimming.

Keane is an athlete.Heading was 'Cork Athletes selected on Irish Olympic Team for Rio'. Of course he should have been mentioned.

Like to know what the marathon comment about. These are the strongest 2 teams at the moment. Most athletes i know agree with these selections.(Pollack especially can be very competetive 1st Irish man in Europeans and low 62min half bodes well for the team.

I agree with the men's selection. Pollock proved his fitness at European half.. Not so sure about the 3rd woman selected. Hasn't shown any form plus backed out or European half..
