So will YOU join our team this year to do a........Marathon? Half Marathon? Team Relay? Youth Team Relay?

Make-A-Wish is calling on runners all over Ireland to help them raise money to bring down their waiting list of wishes for sick children by running the Cork City Marathon and choosing them as their charity of choice.  Currently the charity which grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses has 250 seriously ill children waiting to have their wishes come true.  With your help this year, Make-A-Wish can help grant wishes to children across the country as soon as possible.  Every wish granted is true magic for the child, and their families, providing much needed respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment.

“This year we are looking for volunteers in Cork, and across the country, to join the Make-A-Wish team to help us raise much needed funds for children living with life-threatening illnesses so we can make a real difference to their lives and help make their wish a reality” commented Susan O’Dwyer, Chief Executive Officer, Make-A-Wish Ireland.

To register to run the Cork City Marathon for Make-A-Wish please log onto www.corkcitymarathon.ie before the closing date on the Friday 10th May, and then email clodagh@makeawish.ie or phone 01 205 2012.
