News...Ballycotton '10' / Clon race / Cork Marathon / Weekend events

1) BALLYCOTTON ‘10’ ROAD RACE 2011...THANK-YOU NIGHT...The organisers of the recent Ballycotton ‘10’ road race invite all those who helped out in any capacity to a THANK-YOU NIGHT at the Schooner Tavern, Ballycotton, on Friday April 29th from 8.30pm onwards....Finger food will be available and the DVD of this year’s race will be shown.

2) Ring Rowing Club are holding a 5 km run near Clonakilty in West Cork. I'm not sure how accurate the course is so it is probably more of a fun run type of event rather than an actual road race. Details...."Registration from 7.30pm in Kitty Macs, run starts at 8pm sharp. Fund Raiser for Club - entry fee €10 for runners"

3) Cork Marathon Entries....The entries fees for the Cork City Marathon and Relay will be going up on the 1st of May! So, it's time to get off the fence and make up your mind if you are doing it or not. After that, you have until the 10th of May to enter. Please note that the entries for the Half-Marathon are full so you can only enter the full Marathon or the Relay event at this stage. For entry details, click HERE

4) Weekend events....There are a number of events on this Bank Holiday weekend.
In Limerick, there is a Marathon and Half-Marathon and no doubt a good few from Cork will be travelling up to that.
In Bantry in West Cork, there is the Bay Run Half-Marathon from Glengarrif to Bantry (Pre-entry only).
In North West Cork on Sunday, there is the Newmarket to Kanturk 5 Mile road race which starts at 2pm.

More details in a later post.
