Results of the Cork BHAA 'Army/Navy' 5 mile road race...Wed 19th Aug 2009
Somewhere in the region of 330 runners turned out for this 5 mile road race in the Naval base in Ringaskiddy. While the numbers seem to be down on recent BHAA races, it might be easy to assume that some people stayed because of the weather. But when you compare it to previous years, the numbers are up (2007...205, 2008...277) so it's another record turnout.

By the way, some of you will have noticed the ongoing debate about refreshments after races. It has to be said that as always, the Navy put on an excellent spread after the race last night.

Lost & Found.........Did someone lose a pair of NIKE Pegasus runners....??? See the message below...
"Somebody left their runners+socks behind after the race. I wonder if you could put a message on your Blog.
NIKE Pegasus 25US 9, UK 8, EUR 42.5, CM 27, with yellow soles.
I presume this is a Ladies size?
This was in a parking area, which you'd reach by turning right at the mini-roundabout at the entrance to the Navy Base."

'Buy a copy'......???? I'm not sure what exactly you are looking for.....you might explain.

Colm........I got your remark regarding your 'ladies' shoes ;o)
I won't publish it here because it contains your phone number. I'll pass on your details to the relevant party and they can contact you to return your shoes.

The race was recorded last night and we watched it afterwards on the big screen while the prizes were handed out, just wondering if they are making copys of it like the guys at the beach race in redbarn.
